Exodus Secondary School defied odds to win the 2020 National Netball Rally Championship in the Secondary school category which climaxed on Saturday 14th, March at New Life Primary and Secondary School Kiboga.
Exodus defeated Buddo Secondary a tight game winning by 18-14 scoreline. The game ended 7 up by first quarter.
Buddo had eliminated defending Champions, St Mary’s Kitende A by 19-18 while Exodus knocked out other St Mary’s Kitende B by 16-13.
Rays f Grace Junior School crowned champions of Primary School Category which was played on point robin.
Njeru based side defeated Arch-Bishop Nakirebe Primary School 24-16 and Katale Progressive Primary School 19-17.
Wob Men’s team won the Boys. The category had two teams competing for the championship.
In Clubs, National Insurance Company (NIC) crowned the champions to defend the trophy.
NIC won five games and played a draw to Uganda National U21 team which participated as a guest team.
The 2020 National Netball rally Championships saw 12 teams compete in secondary School category, 3 teams in Primary School category, 2 teams in Boys, Three in Institution and Six Clubs also joined by Uganda U21 as a guest team.
