Robert Ssentongo, Abbey Kikomeko Named February Uganda Premier League Player, Coach Of The Month


Kyetume Football club striker Robert ssentongo and Busoga United head coach Abbey Kikomeko Bogere have been named the Pilsner player and coach for the month of February respectively.

This was announced on Monday 16th, March morning at Kati kati restaurant, Lugogo.
To win this award Abel Kikomeko Bogere guided his side Busoga United Football Club to  sixteen points in six matches played in February/March while his counter part, Edward Kaziba on touchline helped Villa collect thirteen points from their six matches.
Abbey Kikomeko who was receiving the award for the first time couldn’t hide his excitement.

“Thankful to my players, they told me that coach we are doing this for you and they really did it.

And this is the first award am getting and I am very happy for it, I missed that of January but I thank God that I got this one and it’s kind of motivation to me.” Abbey Kikomeko added

Robert Ssentongo beat his teammate Joel Mutakubwa and and Busoga United’s amazing attacking midfielder, David Bagoole on the player’s accolade.

Ssentongo netted six goals, made four assists and named best player of the match on two occasions

David Bagoole had two goals and two assists and been man of the match on three times

Joel Mutakubwa was named three times as man of the match three.

It has come late because for all along i have been putting up a fighting spirit and helping my team but thanks i am here now as the winner. Said Robert Ssentongo
