Wakiso Giants have officially confirmed the appointment of Douglas Bamweyana as their new head coach.
Bamweyana has signed three years employment contract with Purple harks.
Bamweyana becomes wakiso’s fourth coach in a space of a year replacing Deo sserwadda who had been appointed on interim basis then Livingstone Mbabazi who was sacked after just seven games , while replaced kefa kisala .
Douglas Bamweyana has previously coached at Express Fc, Sc Villa and Maroons where he was sacked in February, he holds CAF A coaching License. He joins the Purple sharks alongside former Vipers SC coach Richard Wasswa as immediate assistant coach with Steven bengo and Ali Kiggundu.
According to the club website Bamweyana said “ lam excited about the project, the quality of the lads and the challenge to build on to the already booming club image I and my technical team bring slots of experience and lessons coupled with over commitment and determination. Our target is to develop our players in to best version of themselves, individually and as group to help foster the club objectives”.
This concluded 2019/2020 season due to the global Covid -19 pandemic, Wakiso giants finished 10th position with 30points.
