Uganda Premier League side SC Villa on Friday evening unveiled former Express FC left-back Andrew Kiwanuka, 27, making him the club’s second major signing of the season, after earlier on confirming goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige.
Just like Kibirige, Kiwanuka who has signed a two-year deal with the 16-times league winners was unmasked via a club video interview.
Kiwanuka who was a free agent before joining the record winners side will put on jersey number 20 as he seeks to compete with youngster Derrick Ndahiro for the playing position.
Kiwanuka has revealed his delight in joining the ‘Jogoos’ and hopes to help the side that finished third in the league last season claim silverware next season.
“I am so excited to sign for Villa, it’s a happy family. I am really proud to be part of it. I will do my best to help the club win titles,” Kiwanuka said.
A vast ray of talent is reportedly set to be unveiled by the club and this include; Geoffrey Goffin Oyirwoth, Nasser Lukwago among others.
