Attacking midfielder Edward Kiryowa has extended his stay at Police FC for another three years having joined the ‘Cops’ from lower tier side Farmers Football Club about a year ago.
For Kiryowa whose debut season was characterized with injuries and the like, the 2020/2021 season (yet to kickoff) serves as a fresh chapter for the creative midfielder to win the hearts of the club fans and management, but only through good performance.
Having returned to his normal shape, the honey moon is surely over for Kiryowa and albeit a nice gesture of contract extension from the club, he is now expected to return the favor.
Good for both parties, Kiryowa is now buoyed to ‘reignite’ his career at the Uganda Premier League side once competitive play is reinstated.
“First of all I feel so happy for the opportunity granted to me to extend my stay with the Cops. It is a sign of the club’s confidence and trust in me and I promise to do my best,” Kiryowa said.
Kiryowa now promises to put in more steam to the team’s engine in the coming season and help propel it to greater heights.
“I am going to work harder compared to last season to help the team reach greater heights. We are all looking forward to achieving the best as we build our careers,” Kiryowa added.
Kiryowa joins a cast of players who have committed to renew their contracts at the club. The others include; Johnson Odong, Denis Rukundo, Yusuf Ssozi, Bashir Kabuye, Mubarak Nsubuga and Musa Matovu.
