Central defender Joseph Sentume has extended his stay at Police FC until 2023 after signing a new three year contract at the club.
Sentume who captained the ‘Cops’ last season has promised to put in more work and double his effort for the Uganda Premier League side once the 2020/2021 season kicks off.
“It is a pleasure to sign a new contract with the club. It is a sign of the club’s confidence and trust in me,” Sentume said adding that; “I promise to double my effort compared to last season.”
Fahad Lumu, the club CEO has heaped faith on the defender and hence he will continue serving as the club captain.
“He is a very instrumental player in the team. He has extreme experience and we believe he will put in all the effort to help the team achieve its goals,” Lumu said.
Police FC are seeking to improve on their squad depth ahead of the new season and have extended contracts of; Johnson Odong, Denis Rukundo, Yusuf Ssozi, Bashir Kabuye, Mubarak Nsubuga, Emmanuel Kiryowa and Musa Matovu.
The team have also secured new signings that is; midfielder Tonny Mawejje, defender Muhamood Hassan, Muwadda Mawejje and left back Eric Ssenjobe.
