Midfielder Abel Eturude Michael has joined Express FC on a two year deal from another Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka FC.
Eturude, 23 becomes the team’s fourth signing ahead of the 2020/2021 season. Eturude is known for his vast creativity in the middle of the park along with his good passing abilities and vision.
With his vast experience in the midfield, Eturude is hoping to make instant impact at the club and help steer it back to glory having struggled in the previous seasons.
“I am happy to be a Red Eagle, it is arguably one of the biggest club in the country,” Eturude opened up to the club website.
“I am here to make the team better and with the fans’ support, the sky will be the limit,” Eturude added.
Express main target this coming season is a top three finish in the league that they last achieved in the 2015/2016 season. Eturude believes that with hard work and dedication, it is achievable.
Express are continuing to improve on their squad depth with the acquisition new charges from top tier rival sides.
Goalkeepers Cryspus Kusiima and Denis Otim along with centre back Richard Bbosa are the three players who have already joined the Red Eagles.
Express, six time league winners are preparing for the upcoming campaign which is scheduled to being on 17th October 2020, if government reinstates competitive play which is currently on a halt as a preventative measure against COVID-19.
