Former Vipers SC goalkeeper Derrick Ochan has signed a one-year deal with another Uganda Premier League side Police FC, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
Despite his huge talent, Ochan made a few appearances for Vipers last season and is now happy to find a new home.
“I feel very happy to be here,” Ochan told the club media adding that; “I need to work hard, give in more to serve this club wholeheartedly and deliver for it.”
Ochan’s arrival is a huge boost for Police’s goal keeping department following earlier arrivals of Tom Ikara and Sammon Oloka.
Club CEO Fahad Lumu believes that Ochan’s arrival will help them revamp the team’s squad depth and also tighten the competition in the goal keeping department.
“He is one of the best goalkeepers and as we look towards revamping the team, the goal keeping department is essential,” Lumu said.
“He comes with vigor, experience and a winning mentality,” Lumu added.
The club’s other new signings are; Tonny Mawejje, Muhamood Hassan, Muwadda Mawejje and Eric Ssenjobe.
Ruben Kimera, Joseph Sentume, Johnson Odong, Denis Rukundo, Yusuf Ssozi, Bashir Kabuye, Mubarak Nsubuga, Emmanuel Kiryowa and Musa Matovu have extended their stay at the club.
