KCCA FC have promoted teenage forward Dominic Ayella from the club’s junior team (KCCA Soccer Academy) to its first team.
This development was confirmed on Sunday night during the club’s weekly TV show dubbed KCCA FC TV.
Ayella, 16, a S.5 student (PEM) of Masaka SSS spent just one year at the team’s academy. He now becomes the eighth addition to the senior team following earlier arrivals of Mugume Ashraf, Lwanga Charles, Mazengo Stefano Loro, Iguma Dennis, Bright Anukani (loan), Brian Aheebwa and Kigozi Samson ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
Ayella, whose attributes are; scoring and creating goals plus dribbling is very happy about this development and hopes to bank on it to develop his career.
“First of all, I would like to thank the almighty God who has enabled me to be promoted to the senior team,” Ayella said before lauding the club’s management for the great gesture of trust and believe in him manifested in this development.
“I am very grateful to sign for the main team! It has always been my dream to play at this level and I believe this will help me develop my career,” Ayella said adding that getting promoted to the senior team is no easy achievement.
“To get here I had to work hard in the junior team,” Ayella said before pating himself on the back.
With the current noose on sports activities and schools (due to Covid-19) likely to be loosened at the same time, Ayella is ready to juggle academics and sport and is ready to do whatever it takes to succeed at both.
Ahead of the new season, Ayella is eager to impress the fans by scoring many goals and also contribute to the team’s progress.
