Ahead of the 2020/2021 Uganda football season, Uganda Premier League side Express FC head coach Wasswa Bossa has heaped praise and confidence on the new charges his side has so far secured in this transfer window.
Bbosa has spoken out about the team’s recruitment drive which has seen ten new players joining the club stating that the technical team has done a great job and their efforts will yield fruits once competitive play is reinstated.
“Covid-19 has made it tough for everyone but I am happy we’ve prepared well especially with the new players,” Bbosa noted hoping that the new charges will help the club reclaim its former glory once the new campaign kicks off.
“I would like to thank my technical team for a good job done. Everyone of those players will come good during the season because what we want is to see the club compete again,” Bbosa told the club website.
Ahead of the new season anticipated to kickoff on October 17 this year, Bbosa is sceptical to rule out where his side will finish next season. However, with new signings comes demand for performance but the former Express player has called for patience from the club’s faithful.
“I would like to call upon all the fans to be patient with the club, they should look at the changes as a positive direction because it’s intended to take the club to greater heights,” Bbosa added.
For this transfer window alone, Express have secured ten new players, that is; goalkeepers Cryspus Kusiima and Denis Otim along with center-back Richard Bbosa, midfielders Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Lwesibawa Godfrey, Abel Eturude, Ivan Nsengiyunva, winger Baker Sakah and forwards Musiige Charles and Kiragga Mustafa.
