‘Silky’ midfielder Ibrahim Kayiwa had returned to Express FC. The 25-year-old creative player rejoins the Red Eagles on a two year deal from Tooro United.
Kayiwa who is expected to ignite the team’s midfield has expressed his delight in retuning to the Uganda Premier League side ahead of the 2020/21 season.
“I am glad to be back at Express FC,” Kayiwa noted adding that; “for me this has always been home and just like my other teammates, the target is to chase silverware and we can only achieve that by working hard,” Kayiwa noted.
Kayiwa, dubbed “Muwalabu” had his first stint at Express FC in 2014 managing seven goals and 10 assists in 27 games marshaling the midfield then alongside Sam Kintu “Tiyo” but he then moved to Vipers and Kirinya Jinja SS before another stint at Wankulukuku where he spent two seasons 2017/18 and 2018/19.
He then moved to Tooro United where he managed three assists in seven games.
This will be Kayiwa’s third stint at the club and he becomes Wasswa Bossa’s 13th signing for the upcoming campaign.
Kayiwa becomes the latest addition to Express after earlier arrivals of; goalkeepers Cryspus Kusiima and Denis Otim along with center-back Richard Bbosa, midfielders Faisal Ssenkyanzi John Byamukama, Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Lwesibawa Godfrey, Abel Eturude, Ivan Nsengiyunva, winger Baker Sakah and forwards Musiige Charles and Kiragga Mustafa.
