Forward Brian Ade on Thursday, 15th October 2020 joined Big League outfit Arua Hill Sports Club ahead of the 2020/21 football season anticipated to kickoff next month. Ade, 23 becomes the latest addition to the side following various new arrivals in the recent past.
The former Arua Soccer Academy star has expressed delight in joining the side as he hopes to repay the favor.
“I’m very happy about my move here. I’m so happy I’m going to play in a very competitive league and for a very good club with a very good vision.”
“I’m very grateful to everyone who has been supportive to me especially the coaches, fans and the board and I promise to pour myself for this team to gain promotion to the top flight.”
“I have targets and ambitions like any other player, I want to score goals and defend them and at
least get three points per match. My main target however is line with the teams target but personally I want to score goals, to be the top scorer in the league,” Ade told the club media team.
Ade has spent most of his career around West Nile area and with most of the team players hailing from that side, he will easily adopt to the team structure.
Ade’s greatest highlight was in the 2016/17 season when he emerged as West Nile region top scorer with 15 goals in 18 appearances as his side Arua Soccer Academy came out atop in the Regional League.
Arua Hill Head Coach Hussein Mbalangu says he has watched some of the games Ade has played and is positive that he is a great addition to his side.
“Ade is a very talented young boy because I’ve even been following him since his University football days especially when he won with them University tournament.”
“He is vibrant and he will help us, with the senior players we have, we need to have fresh legs who
can try to help the seniors when they’ve already done the work.”
“He is very good replacement for Leku, because they are very similar in skills. They have pace, they
are very good on the ball. So, it creates a competitive environment for them, which is good,” Mbalangu said.
Arua Hill’s main target is to get into the Uganda Premier League in a space of less than two seasons. The team’s recent activity in the transfer market is a sign of their aspiration and if they are doing a right job in recruitment, they could actually find themselves in the top tier league next season.
