Express forward Eric Kambaale, just like other players across various leagues, is eager to return to the turf for competitive play once the 2020/21 football season kicks off with game day one of the Uganda Premier League slated for 20th of November 2020.
With the new season edging closer, Kambaale, 20 has expressed readiness for the new campaign and he shared his thoughts while speaking to the club website.
“I am happy that I’ve managed to get my groove back using the technical team’s training schedule, am so pumped up for next season and the target is to help the club win some silverware” Kambaale stated.
Albeit helping the team get new additions to its trophy cabinet, Kambaale has also expressed his intent to strike the back of the net more often and possibly claim the premier league golden boot.
“Personally, I am going to strive to hit double digits which I think will help me be top scorer” He concluded.
New signing Mustafa Kiragga as well as the club’s top scorer last season Kalanda Frank will definitely provide stiff competition to Kambaale.
The Red Eagles have won six league titles and are chasing a 7th which was last won in 2012. Wasswa Bbosa has rebuilt the squad signing up 15 new players ahead of the new campaign set to begin on the 20th of November 2020.
