Seeta United FC have secured the partnership of Shire Petroleum ahead of the 2020/21 Uganda football season.
The new partnership was confirmed on Wednesday with Shire offering the Regional League (Third Division) side home and away jerseys , three balls and warm up kits worth Shs.2.5M with a promise to offer playing boots in the near future.
The event took place at Shire Seeta Branch along Gaddafi Road and was graced by present club players, executive committee members, fans coordinators and the media all-in attendance.
Shire sales and marketing manager Ambrose Okong while at the ceremony noted that their gesture is in line with empowerment of the youth with skills and talents as they seek to turn talent into employment avenues.
“We are supporting Seeta United Football Club as this season’s kit sponsor. We have managed to secure some playing requirement necessary to keep the football club moving forward to achieve their major targets and goals. This is also as a way of giving back to our community members for their continued support,” Okong told the media.
Seeta Chairman David Katono Mutono says that Shire package will ignite them once the new season Kicks off.
“We aspire to be the best team on and off the field of play in Uganda as well as beyond the borders. This season, we want to make the FUFA Big League grade. Also, we want to be a self-sustenance Seeta United,” Katono said.
The club also revealed plans to unveil new players as the 48-year old outfit seeks to strengthen its recruitment drive to earn an promotion to Big League.
The team is also on the verge of naming a new look technical team with the new dugout anticipated to propel the team to new heights.
