Ahead of the 2020/21 local football season anticipated to kick-off in December, Uganda Police FC Chairman Asan Kasingye has urged his players to remain focused to be able to help the club reclaim its former glory.
Kasingye, also Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) at Uganda Police Force made these remarks while receiving team kits from Club CEO Fahad Lumu at the Force’s headquarters in Naguru on Tuesday.
“I am calling upon our players to remain focused and united on our main objective of reviving club glory,” Kasingye told Police FC media.
“I also wish to appreciate the hard work exhibited by all the parties at Police FC be despite the COVID-19 situation.”
Even with competitive play yet to return, Kasingye observed that the club has made lots of progress especially during the transfer window where it signed lots of players and also improvements in administration.
“The club has become better even without kicking a ball in terms of organization, equipment and welfare for the players i.e salaries without gate collections,” Kasingye noted.
On receiving his replica jersey, Kasingye urged all fans to get themselves club jerseys sold at selected places.
