Walusimbi Targets Strong Return After False Express Debut
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Express skipper Enoch Walusimbi was sent off for handling the ball deliberately in the forbidden area during his competitive debut against Onduparaka over the weekend at the Green Light Stadium in Arua.

Walusimbi’s error in the 67th minute of play costed his side maximum points on the road after Onduparaka’s Livingston Kabong made no mistake sending Mathias Muwanga the opposite to ensure spoils were shared in the opening match day of the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season.

Walusimbi, 22 started at the back partnering Murushid Juuko in Arua but will sit out on match day two when Express host Bright Stars on Saturday 12th December at Wankulukulu but has targeted a strong return after he serves his suspension.

“I was so disappointed because it’s always sad to be sent off yet you want to play the entire game and help the team win,” Walusimbi told the club website.

Walusimbi adds that his side gave their all against Onduparaka albeit picking up only a point on the road. He now targets strong displays going forward.

“Personally I believe that there’s always room for improvement and I’m sure I will return stronger to help the team achieve its objectives,” Walusimbi revealed.

Express Head coach Wasswa Bbosa has kept his unbeaten run against Onduparaka in Arua intact.

Express FC now sit 5th on the 16 team log after one match day.
