KCCA’s Mutebi Predicts Tough Game Against Villa

KCCA FC will seek to maintain their perfect run when they travel away to Bombo Military Barracks Grounds to face SC Villa on Tuesday in a huge clash in game day four of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League 2020/21 season.

The Kasasiro boys have won three of their opening league games hence gathering maximum points so far while SC Villa have had one win, a draw and a loss in their first three games.

According to the KCCA FC website, Head Coach Mike Mutebi has hailed the strength in both teams hence predicting a tough clash for both sides.

“These are two traditional and most successful clubs in Uganda. It is going to be a tough match. The rivalry will always be there between these two clubs and this will be seen on the pitch,” Mutebi told the club website.

Mutebi also expressed concern over the unavailability of some of his players.

“We do not have Gift Ali, Poloto Julius, Juma Balinya and Moses Aliro.The fixture comes early for Sadat Anaku and Gift Ali but we will see what happens against URA FC,” Mutebi added.

The game is the second away game for KCCA FC this season. The first away game had the 13 Uganda Premier League Champions win 2-1 against Brightstars FC.

KCCA FC defender Denis Iguma faces his former side SC Villa. The defender has played three (3) Uganda Premier League games for KCCA FC and kept two clean sheets

Gift Ali is ruled out after he picked a knock during the 8-0 mauling against Onduparaka FC last week on Tuesday

Sadat Anaku started training but this game comes too soon for the young man. He should be ready for the game against URA FC on Friday 18th December.

Moses Aliro is ruled out after that injury he picked up against Mbarara City on Friday 11th December at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

John Revita upped his recovery last week. The defender started light individual running since he was operated in June 2020. He is expected to return early next 2021.

Deputy Captain Julius Poloto is ruled out.

In the last 19 league games played between KCCA FC and SC Villa, KCCA FC has won 9 while Villa has won twice, both teams have shared spoils eight times.

KCCA has scored 27 times against SC Villa in 19 games while the Jogoo have scored 15 times in 19 games against KCCA FC.

KCCA FC has bagged 35 points from the last 19 games played in Uganda Premier League while Villa has bagged 14 points in 19 games.
