Nasiwu Seeks To Bounce Back As Volleyball President


The Uganda Volleyball Federation’s (UVF) 2021 elections have received a major hype after former President Sadik Nasiwu declared interest to return to the top chair.

Nasiwu who led the volleyball fraternity between 2008-2016 will be up against incumbent and his successor Hadijah Namada who will be seeking a second term in office.

Nasiwu, an Internal Auditor at FIVB and Executive Member at Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) becomes the 2nd person to declare intentions for the UVF Elective Congress set to take place on 31st January 2021 at UOC, Lugogo Sports Complex in Kampala.

“While leaving the Federation 4 years ago, I felt I will never make this turn, but calls in and out volleyball have obliged me,” Nasiwu told Inside Volleyball.

“I am willing to give Volleyball and Beach Volleyball a shot like never before, the support from sports institutions local, regional and internationally I am receiving means, the time is now again!” Nasiwu added.

“I am waiting to know exactly who is going to vote and I will reach out to them to seek for their votes”.
