Uganda Cranes have stepped up their preparations for the Total African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2020 Finals to be held in Cameroon from 16th January to 7th February 2021.
Uganda is in Group C alongside defending champions Morocco, neighbours Rwanda and new comers Togo.
Cranes head to the tournament after a successful outing at the Pre-CHAN Mini Tournament at Yaounde, Cameroon that came to a close a few days ago. Cranes picked two wins and a draw from three games.
Cranes are currently training in Douala, Cameroon and look to be in great shape ahead of tourney kick-off.
“We are in stage three of our preparations for the Total African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2020 Finals. We started with a camp in Kampala, another in Yaounde and now this one in Douala. I’m impressed with the team,” Cranes Coach Johnathan Mckinstry told FUFA media.
After naming his final 25-man squad, McKinstry also recently confirmed that Vipers SC defender Lwaliwa Halid will Captain the team.
