CHAN 2020: Unclear Path For Uganda After Loss To Togo

Total CHAN Finals 2020 -Cameroon

Group C Results- @Stade Reunification- Douala

Togo 2 – 1 Uganda

Rwanda 0 – 0 Morocco

It’s ‘back to the calculator’ for the Uganda Cranes after they picked a 2-1 defeat against Togo during their second outing of the Total CHAN Finals 2020 at Stade Reunification- Douala in Cameroon.

Second half substitute Saidi Kyeyune leveled matters for Uganda, canceling Patrick Mbowa’s first half own goal.

However, Richard Nene reinstated the Localhawk’s lead later in the second half and attempts to even matters by the Cranes were all futile.

Ahead of match day three, Uganda who have just one point in this tournament must beat Group C leaders Morocco and hope for a favourable result between Rwanda and Togo, if they are to make it to the knock out stage.

Morocco lead Group C with four points, one ahead of second placed Togo. Uganda and Rwanda both have a point apiece.
