KCCA FC scored five ‘unanswered’ goals against MYDA FC during their Saturday fixture of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) 2020/21 season played at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
The victory was KCCA’s first league win in five games after dropping points in the previous four matches, that is losing thrice and drawing once.
Bright Anukani and Charles Lwanga both scored twice in the second half while the first half goal was slotted in by Moses Aliro.
Aliro drew first blood just five minutes into play after capitalizing on Lwanga’s assist.
Lwanga would later score two goals; a header in the 83rd minute and a clinical finish with two minutes to stoppage time.
Youngster Anukani scored his first goal for the club in the 52nd minute thanks to Lwanga’s assist. He would later grab his second for the club with a stoppage time penalty kick.
Both sides return to action on Tuesday, 23rd February with KCCA playing an away fixture against Wakiso Giants whilst MYDA will host Express FC in Tororo.
