Police FC forward Johnson Odongo scored a brace as his side beat Onduparaka FC 3-1 in one of the matchday nine fixture of the Uganda Premier League (UPL) 2020/21 season played on Wednesday at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Odongo netted a goal a piece in each half. He opened the scoring in the 25th minute with a spot kick after Akoch Augustine handled in the area. He later bagged his second in the 84th minute and was named man of the match.
Eric Senjobe who was the other goal scorer for Police struck in the 76th minute.
Emmanuel Okech scored Onduparaka’s goal in the 51st minute but his side failed to hold on level after Senjobe and Odongo later struck for the hosts.
Police are now second on the table with 19 points, just like third placed Express FC but the Cops have a better goal difference.
Onduparaka on the other hand have dropped to seventh on the table with 15 points.
On Saturday, 27th February both sides return to action with Onduparaka hosting Vipers SC while Police will be away to Bright Stars.
