The Red Eagles started on the back foot with Busoga controlling the game especially with creating chances, Issa Lumu was caught napping on a few occasions but Murushid Juuko was on hand to save the situation.
The moment of truth came in the 24th minute when Erick Kambale was tripped by Busoga United goalkeeper Omedwa Rogers leaving centre referee Shamila Nabadda with no option but to point to the spot, Frank Kalanda stepped up and converted his 4th of the season and his second in consecutive games. For Wasswa Bossa, a win is all that is required especially in a situation where games are coming in thick and fast.
“The games come in thick and fast and you can see it’s taking a toll on the players but I’m glad that the boys are responding. Today wasn’t any different but the most important thing is we got the three points. A league is a marathon so onto the next,” Bbosa told the club website.
Wasswa Bossa’s team is now unbeaten in 12 games with only 3 remaining to conclude the first round.
