National Basketball League(NBL) outfit KIU Titans have announced the signing of Denis Balungu on a two-year deal.
Balungu returns to Titans after spending last year with Betway Power.
“I am happy to be back home. The ambition is still the same, it’s about winning the championship. We came close to in 2017 when we reached the finals and I’m focused on reaching the finals again,” Balungu told the club media after completing his return.
During his first tenure with Titans that lasted three years, the small forward led the Titans to the National Basketball League finals in 2017 with his efficient shooting.
Head coach Brian Wathum is happy to have Balungu back in the roster for the forthcoming season.

“Denis has got range. He is a very good shooter of the ball and he showed that while he was with us the first time. He is obviously going to improve our shooting as a team,” said Wathum.
Balungu’s first stint with KIU Titans was from 2017 to 2019.
After over a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19, domestic basketball will return on 2nd April 2021 and Titans will be eager to tip-off now that Balungu is on the roster.
