The FIH ratified test matches between Kenya and Uganda national hockey sides (men and women) puck dropped on Thursday, 18th March 202 at Sikh Union Club in Nairobi.

Kenya women’s side had a dream start to the test matches after recording a commanding 11-00 win against their Uganda counterparts who often struggled to get themselves equal to the task.

On the other hand, the men’s teams settled for a 1-1 draw in a fixture that witnessed a much improved Ugandan side.

In the women’s game that opened the test matches, Flavia Mutiva Mmogi and Bwire Akoth both bagged hattricks while Maureen Okumu and Naomi Kemunto had braces. Team Captain Tracy Karanja scored the other goal with the visitors failing to respond.

In the men’s game, Robinson Omutekete gave the hosts a lead in the 34th minute before Thomas Opio leveled matters five minutes later.
