Khalid Aucho has come out and accepted his dismissal from the Uganda Cranes camp.
The midfielder was dismissed from camp for failure to respect and honor the national team’s professional ethics.
Despite several individuals including National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi, claiming that Aucho’s dismissal was for political reasons, the Federation of Uganda Football Association has since come out to dismiss those allegations.
Aucho came out to clear the air, narrating what exactly happened.
“I reached at half-past 2, then I told the person they had sent to pick me that I was not feeling well and immediately needed to see a doctor to ascertain why my body was not functioning well.
“I knew I had to go to the camp, I mean that’s why I travelled here in the first place, but I also needed to at least briefly see my family.
“I have accepted their decision and I will take it in good faith. I wish them good luck in two games.”
The midfielder was set to miss the encounter with Burkina Faso at St Mary’s Katende due to suspension but was eligible to play away to Malawi.
