Left-back Joseph Benson Ochaya is the latest professional to join the Uganda Cranes camp ahead of the final AFCON qualification window.
Uganda will take on Burkina Faso and Malawi next week in a bid to reach the continental showpiece for the third time running.
They host Burkina Faso on Wednesday at Kitende before traveling away to Malawi on the Weekend.
Ochaya who is understood to have jetted into the country on Saturday night was available for Sunday-morning’s training at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende, the Cranes first at the venue after starting off preparations at Lugogo.
Ochaya who plays his game at Congolese giants TP Mazembe joins the likes of Allan Okello, Salim Jamal, Mathais Kigonya, Mustapha Kizza, Nicholas Wadada, Mike Azira, Tadeo Lwanga, Abdul Lumala, Emmanuel Okwi, and Patrick Kaddu as the foreign-based players currently in camp with the other expected to arrive on Sunday and Monday.
He is set to return to the team after missing the 1-0 loss to South Sudan in Kenya due to suspension.
Among the players that were summoned, Uganda will be without Uche Mubiru who pulled out for personal reasons and Khalid Aucho who was dismissed after failing to adhere to the team’s code of conduct.
Uganda is currently second on the Group B log with 7 points and require just two draws in their last two games to seal a spot at the AFCON finals. Alternatively, a win and a draw with see the Cranes progress to the finals.
