Bevis Mugabi will not be part of the Uganda Cranes team for the upcoming AFCON Qualifiers.
Uganda is slated to face Burkina Faso and Malawi in the final two games of the qualifiers this week.
According to reports, Mugabi who has been out of action since February will not make the trip from Scotland where he features for Motherwell FC, to join the rest of the Cranes team.
Despite having recovered from injury, it is understood that the defender has been denied permission to leave Scotland by his club.
It will be the second successive qualification window that Mugabi will miss after also seating out the double header against South Sudan last November.
This will however not be a major concern for the Cranes technical team as the right back position is already taken care of with the presence of Nicholas Wadada and Elvis Bwomono.
Mugabi now joins Uche Mubiru (Pulled out) and Khalid Aucho (Dismissed) as the players whose absence has already been confirmed.
Uganda will face Burkina Faso at Kitende on Wednesday before travelling away to Malawi on the weekend.
