David Owori has completed a move to Spanish Tercera-tier side Velez-Malaga CF.
Owori’s signing was confirmed on Tuesday, Match 23 by Velez through an official club statement.
“Our first new player for next season has arrived in Vélez-Málaga. David is a 22-year-old versatile midfielder whose main strengths are speed, running ability and functional technique. He can play in both bands and also in the centre of the field. Read the statement.
“We will use the time well until next season begins to help David on and off the field adjust to our team and club.”
Owori joins Velez as a free agent after his contract at SC Villa expired last year. He was yet to feature in the League this season.
He has been an integral figure for the Jogoos throughout his career at the Nsambya based side and he stood out in the entire Uganda Premier League and was names in many teams of the season for the 2019/20 season, by several journalists.
The combative, energetic versatile player rejected a new contract from Villa in June and has been without a club ever since.
He has also featured for Vipers SC and Poline FC in the past after graduating from Nsambya Young Star Academy.
