The fourth edition of the Tennis For All National Junior was held on Saturday 27th to Sunday 28th March 2021 at the East Kololo Primary School courts.
The tournament that attracted 60 youngsters was divided into three events for both boys and girls, that is; Under 8, Under 10 and Under 12 with games played in a round robin format at the first round and knockout at the second round.
According to event organizer Julius Kyobe, the tournament this time round gathered lots of steam as previous champions were all dethroned.
“This time the competition was more high compared to the previous tournament as we had new winners in every event,” Kyobe said.
Kyobe added that four academies were represented at the event, that is; Tennis For All Uganda, Let’s Play Tennis Uganda, Sporting Chance and Prodigy Sports Academy.
In the event’s climax, Afoyorwot Rihanna beat Wanguich Kaila 10/6, 11/9 to win the Girls U8 event while Muzamiru Arafat beat Osukutu Elijah 10/8, 10/8 to win the Boys U8 event.
Namukasa Nicole beat Achola Linda 10/4, 10/5 to win the Girls U10 event while Owana Francis beat Ahumed Abdul 10/8, 10/6 to win the Boys U10 event.

With the event concluding successfully, Kyobe believes that the tournament has created a platform for a lot of players to come and complete again in a healthy and fun-filled way which has helped them gain confidence and also improve on their tennis performance.
