Kamuzu Stadium, Blantyre
Monday, 29-03-2021
Uganda and Malawi will clash in their last AFCON qualifier on Monday afternoon at the Kamazu stadium in Blantyre.
Both sides are eying qualification to the finals which will be played in Cameroon early next year.
They sit second and third on the group B log with Uganda having nine points while Malawi are just one behind the Cranes.
Injuries have hampered the Cranes preparations for the game with several players ruled out.
Elvis Bwomono, Fahad Bayo, Patrick Kaddu and Timothy Awanyi all did not make the trip due to injuries.
Abdul Lumala and Halid Lwaliwa are understood to be subjects to late fitness tests due to knocks.
For Malawi, they will be without the suspended striker Gabadinho Mhango.
The striker was booked in the victory over South Sudan last week and he is suspended after accumulation of yellow cards.
The first meeting between the two sides in the qualifiers saw Uganda beat Malawi 2-0 at Namboole in 2019.
