Tooro United registered their second win of the current Big League season as they scrapped past Proline FC 1-0 away from home on Sunday.
In the game played on Sunday, March 28, Marvin Oshaba proved the hero as he netted the only goal of the contest.
Oshaba scored with just 10 minutes on the clock as he pounced on lousy goalkeeping by Nicholas Ssebwato who failed to hold onto Julius Pillot’s shot enabling the forward to pounce off Pato Sserunjoji’s lay-off.
Proline who had beaten Kigezi Home Boyz 4-0 on Thursday, could not find a leveller as they missed several chances.
The result means Tooro move to six points from two games after winning their opening game.
For Proline, who are highly tipped to bounce back to the top tier at the first time of asking, remain on three points.
In the other games played in the Rwenzori group, Nyamityobora drew 1-1 away to Luwero United, Ndejje University was also held to a one all draw at home to Terrazo and Tiles while Water FC and Kigezi Home Boyz played out a goalless draw.
In the Elgon group, Paidha Black Angel’s overcame Mbale Heroes 1-0 while Maroons beat Gadaffi FC 2-0 away from home thanks to a Fred Amaku brace.
