UPL: Busoga beat Onduparaka to climb into 11th

Busoga United took care of Onduparaka FC 2-0 in the only Uganda Premier League game played on Wednesday, March 31.

Franco Magero and Ismail Mugulusi scored the goals for the Students who also registered their second win in the trot having defeated Kitara FC earlier in the month.

Inside the opening two minutes, Busoga were handed a chance to the the lead from the penalty spot and Magero obliged by converting it.

Onduparaka tried to respond as they pinned the hosts in their half but could not find a leveler as Busoga went into the break with a slim 1-0 lead.

Eight minutes after the break, Mugulusi made it 2-0 off Shaka Ssozi’s assist.

Busoga maintained their two-goal advantage until the end of the contest to seal their fourth win of the campaign.

The victory elevates them to 11th on the log with 17 points from 16 games.

For Onduparaka, they stay in 8th with 21 points.

In their next fixtures, Onduparaka host Kitara FC on Tuesday, March 13 while Busoga are away to Vipers SC on the same day.
