Uganda once again lost to South Africa at the SPAR Challenge Tri-Nations as they went down 44-32 on Wednesday.
In what was the final contest of the series, Rashid Mubiru’s side could not see them selves past the finish line despite starting well.
Uganda were rampant at all ends of the court in the opening quarter, closing it out with a three goal lead at 10-7.
South Africa then responded in the second as they reduced the deficit to just two goals to head into halftime trailing 17-19.
It was in the third that they flipped the game in their favour as they won it 11-06 to take a three-goal lead into the fourth quarter at 28-25.
Uganda then all but collapsed in the fourth as South Africa put up a masterclass to win it 44-32.
The Spar Proteas had also taken care of Uganda 49-34 and 43-36 earlier in the Series to ensure they win it, overall.
The She Cranes finished second in the standings with six points and had players; Irene Eyaru and Joan Nampungu voted best shooter and best defender of the tournament respectively.
