National Basketball League (NBL) outfit Kampala International University (KIU) Titans have announced the signing of Faisal Aden who has joins the club on a two-year deal.

The 6’5” shooting guard brings a wealth of international experience to the team having played for the country and several clubs across the region with the player himself now seemingly happy to join the side.

“Joining KIU was a pretty easy decision to make. I have played here and I love visiting Uganda and when I was given a chance to come and play here I took it.
“There is not a lot of basketball going on so I’m just happy to be playing again and KIU seemed to be a good fit.”

Aden, a proven scorer of the basketball, says fans should expect a lot of points and a championship.

“Fans should expect a lot of buckets and a championship, anything less than that is a season loss in my eyes.

“There’s no pressure playing basketball, it’s just fun. I have played at the highest level with some of the best players in the world so basketball comes natural to me.”

Aden becomes the sixth player to be unveiled by the Kansanga based side in this transfer window.

Earlier on, four players were unveiled by the KIU men’s team, that is; Stanley Mugerwa from Warriors, Samuel Agutu who rejoined the side from Power Basketball Club, Oscar Muge who returned from JKL Dolphins while Denis Balungu returned to Titans after spending last year with Betway Power.

Power forward Moreen Atulinda returned to KIU female side, Rangers after spending the previous two seasons with Women’s NBL title holders JKL Lady Dolphins.
