Uganda Opening Results At Emirates Invitational 7s:

Uganda Rugby Cranes Sevens lost all their games in the opening matchday of the Emirates Invitational 7s at the Emirates Sevens Stadium in Dubai in the first tournament that runs between April 2-3, 2021.
Uganda are the lowest ranked men’s team at the invitational meet and hope that their learning curve rises sharply as they attempt to defy odds going forward.
Uganda lost the first game 31-14 to Argentina. Philip Wokorach and Michael Wokorach scored Uganda’s tries with the former utilizing all the extras.
In the second game, Uganda was condemned to a 40-05 defeat by Canada. Nobert Okeny scored Uganda’s try.
In their final game, Uganda attempted to defy odds against Japan but lost 19-12. Philip Wokorach and Nobert Okeny scored Uganda’s tries with Joseph Aredo utilizing one conversion.
Uganda returns to action the next weekend.
The event that marks a return of competitive rugby to Dubai is a competitive training camp including two tournament weekends for some of the best rugby Sevens teams in the world. The tournament dates are; April 2nd/3rd and April 8th/9th.
As they prepare for Olympics, the teams will train and play all rugby at The Sevens Stadium behind closed doors, with spectators not allowed in attendance.
