The 2020/21 Uganda Cup will kick off on Monday with seven games to be played across the country.
Nine time Champions SC Villa will host Ndejje University at Bombo in the day’s opening game.
Villa who last won the cup in 2015 have seen their league form improve and come into this one on the back of a hard fought 2-1 victory away to MYDA FC last week.
They take on a Ndejje University side that drew 1-1 away to Kigezi Home Boyz in their latest Big League game.
Last season, Villa had reached the round of 16 after beating Kajjansi United at this stage before the Uganda Cup was nullified.
For Ndejje, they lost to FHL on penalties to exit the competition at the round of 64.
At Kitende, 2016 Uganda Cup winners Vipers host fellow Uganda Premier League side Busoga United.
Vipers will be boosted by the return from suspension of striker Yunus Ssentamu who was suspended in the win over UPDF FC in their last League game.
Ssentamu has been in good form for Fred Kajoba’s side, netting six goals since re-joining the Venoms in January.
Sitting top of the league table, Vipers know they have a chance of winning a first-ever double if they can secure a triumph in the Cup.
Last season, they were shockingly eliminated by Kajjansi United on penalties at the round of 32.
For Busoga, they take a four-game winning run in the league to the cup.
Abby Kikomeko’s side who started the season slowly are now picking up momentum and must feel confident going into Monday’s game.

When the two sides met in the league, early this season, Vipers beat Busoga 5-3 at Njeru.
The other Uganda Cup games on Monday will see struggling Wakiso Giants away to Water FC at Kavumba, Terrazo and Tiles welcome fellow Big League outfit Maroons to Kakyeka, Onduparaka FC hosts Luwero United in Arua, BUL FC travels to the Emokori Ground to face Black Power while Police FC entertains Calvary FC at Lugogo.
This year’s Uganda Cup starts at the round of 32 with only UPL and Big League sides taking part.
All the ties, save for the final, are to be played on home and away basis.
