Denis Onyango has sued two Betting Companies for unauthorized use of his image. The companies are Melbet and Paragon Bet who allegedly used Onyango’s image during two AFCON Qualifiers.

Through his lawyers Muwema and Compnay Advocates and Solicitors, Onyango served the two companies along with the Uganda National Gaming and Lotteries Regulatory Authority  in regards to the matter on Tuesday April 06.

The Uganda Cranes captain who plyes his trade in South Africa for Mamelodi Sundowns, claims that his image was used in several social media advertisements by the two companies promoting their products for the Uganda Cranes games against Burkina Faso and Malawi.

It should be noted that Onyango is an ambassador for GAL Sports Bet, a rival company to Melbet and Paragon Bet.

Muwema and Company Advocates and Solicitors also requests that the Uganda National Gaming and Lotteries Regulatory Authority that it reprimands the conduct of Melbet and Paragon Bet for the violation of image rights.
