Mujib Kasule has announced that he will also stand for the FUFA Presidency.
The Proline FC Director made his announcement on Tuesday, April 13 at McKinnon Suites in Nakasero.
“I am going to participate in this political football season. Mujib started.
“I have offered myself to lead the struggle to reclaim the glory of our game and I announce that I will stand for FUFA Presidency in the coming elections.
“I think we need a reset and we need to reorganise the game.”
This will be the second time the Mujib is standing for the FUFA top job after an attempt that did not materialise in 2017 as he was locked out by the Electoral Code.
Mujib is not the third individual to announce his candidature for the FUFA Presidential elections that is slated for August.
The others are incumbent Moses Magogo and Makindye East Member of parliament Hon. Allan Ssewanyana.
Magogo has been in office for two terms, leading the Federation since 2013.
On all two previous occasions, he has been endorsed as a sole candidate after his would-be competition is locked out by article 9(8) of the FUFA Electoral Code.
