Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC defeated KCCA FC 2-0 on Tuesday at the Arena of Visions.
Second half goals from Joackim Ojera and Shafiq Kagimu did the trick for Sam Simbwa’s side.
After a first half that had close to nothing to write home about, the hosts came to life in the second half as they piled pressure on the KCCA goal.
Ojera who had looked lively since the game started broke the deadlock on 55 minutes.
The small-bodied winger headed in from close range, a Brian Majwega cross to hand the Tac Collectors a deserved lead.
Eleven minutes later, Kagimu side-footed in the second after he was set up by Steven Mukwala.
Mukwala, Rwothomio and Majwega all had chances to put themselves on the scoresheet but failed.
For KCCA, they struggled to create chances with Julius Poloto’s header that went straight at Alionzi Nafian, in the first half, the best chance they got to score.
In th end, URA got three deserved points while KCCA suffered their first loss under Morley Byekwaso.
The result means URA now moves to 39 points, level with leaders Vipers SC after 17 games.
For KCCA, they stay in 4th on 30 points.
I their next games, URA are at home to SC Villa on Friday while KCCA hosts SC Villa on Sunday.
