Arua Hill SC coach Hussein Mbalangu has revealed they plan to collect maximum points in their Big League fixture against Mbale Heroes on Thursday 15th/04/2021 at Mbale Stadium. The game will be broadcast by StarTimes and will show live on Sanyuka TV at 4PM.
Mbalangu saw his team crash out of Uganda Cup on Sunday and they go back to Big League to face Mbale Heroes on Thursday afternoon with clinching a passport into the Uganda Premier League their main focus.
Arua Hill though beat UPDF 3-2 in the first leg of Uganda Cup at home had to call it quits last Sunday and pave way for UPDF who won the reverse fixture a goal to nil at Bombo Play Ground to progress to last 16 on away goal advantage.
Mbalangu who has insisted the Uganda Cup exit is a blessing in disguise, has explained his side can now concentrate in the League and are targeting maximum points from match day four against Mbale Heroes.
“Boys are okay and ready for the tussle. We’re knocked from Uganda Cup and I think it’s a blessing in disguise,” Mbalangu told club media after their first training session in Mbale on Monday.
“We’re serving two targets at a go, so now that we are eliminated, we can focus on the main target, we are ready and I know we shall get maximum points.” He added.
Arua Hill leads the Elgon Group with seven points after registering two wins at home against Blacks Power and Kataka FC and a draw away to Maroons.
Mbalangu is nonetheless not worried with the away record as he confidently insists on the maximum points they need while admitting they could settle for a draw in a worse case scenario.

“Our plan is not to lose. Our plan is to get a point or points because any point you get from away is like a bonus,” he said.
“Because at home the condition is to get maximum points. But we target all points unless they refuse, we may settle for a point.
“We’ve proved everywhere that we can score goals and create opportunities that’s why I am emphasizing to our striking line to use the chances, even you see in the training we’ve done, it has been on finishing because we shall get chances so they need to get used to putting it into the net.” He concluded.
Mbale Heroes though lost the first leg of the Uganda Cup to Gaddafi progressed to the last 16 of the competition after winning the reverse fixture 4-2 on penalties but they remain winless in their first three games of the FUFA Big League as they lost to Gaddafi FC and draw with Calvary FC and Paidha Black Angels.
