Uganda Martyrs unveil squad ahead of Women Elite League kick-off

Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga have named their final squad ahead of the upcoming 2021 FUFA Women FUFA Women Elite League.

The squad that was named by head coach Rogers Nkugwa has a total of 17 players.

It features Latifa Nakasi who top scored for the club last season before the league was cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The club will however miss four players who will be doing their UACE Examinations. These include Halima Kanyago, Winnie Nakanwagi, Mary Kemigisha Mary and Uditer Basemera.

Uganda Matyres is in group A alongside Kawempe Muslim Ladies, Kampala Queens, Tooro University and Makerere University.

In their opening game, Uganda Martyrs will face Makerere University on Monday, April 19 at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

The 2021 format was changed with the ten teams drawn into two groups of five. The top two in each group progress to the Championship playoffs.
