MYDA FC 3-0 Busoga United
King George IV Memorial Stadium
Ibrahim Nsimbe scored all three goals on Friday as MYDA FC beat Busoga United 3-0 to register their first home victory of the season.
MYDA has struggled all season long, at home, losing eight and drawing three of their opening 11 games.
However, Nsimbe who has now scored 11 goals so far, ensured they won their 12th fixture at the King George IV Memorial Stadium.
Nsimbe’s first goal came in the 20th minute moment before Busoga missed from the penalty spot as Sharif Kimbowa sent his effort wide.
At the stroke of halftime, Nsimbe struck again to see MYDA take a 2-0 lead into the break.
On minute 63, the lanky striker sealed his hat trick with the third goal that put the result beyond doubt.
Victory sees MYDA move to 14 points, but they stay in 15th, six points away from safety with just six more games to play.
Busoga stays in 13th with 26 points from 23 games.
MYDA will next visit Kitara in Masindi on 18th May whereas Busoga will have it tough against the title chasing Express FC in Njeru on the same day.
