Kigezi Home Boyz 1-2 BUL FC (Agg: 2-4)
Kabale Municipal Stadium
Tuesday, May 25

BUL FC booked their spot in the Uganda Cup quarter-finals thanks to a 2-1 victory over Kigezi Home Boyz on Tuesday, May 25.

The Jinja-based side who also won the first leg by the same scoreline progress to the Uganda Cup quarter-finals thanks to a 4-2 aggregate victory.

Musa Esenu and Owen Mukisa scored for the visitors who had to come from a goal down to get the job done.

Jonathan Mutesa had earlier opened Kigezi Home Boyz scoring on the day with a header towards the end of the first half.

Esenu who replaced Deogracious Ojok at halftime restored parity early in the second half and from their onwards, Alex Isabirye’s side looked to be in control of proceedings.

Mukisa, also a second-half substitute for Simon Peter Oketch, headed home the winner just two minutes after his introduction.

BUL’s victory would have been wider in terms of the margin but Joseph Ssemujju missed from the spot after Henry Mugoya had been fouled inside the area.
