Sarah Babirye Kityo beats Ucanda to become UNF President

Former Member of Parliament representing the Youths, Hon. Sarah Babirye Kityo was on Saturday, June 05 elected as the new president of the Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) for a tenure of four years.

She beat off competition from She Cranes Manager Jocelyn Ucanda and Christine Nampijja, a teacher at Trinity College Nabbingo.

Sarah Babirye Kityo got 184 votes while Ucanda garnered 41 with Nampijja getting just 05.

Team Sarah Babirye swept all the positions while that of Ucanda most of whom were incumbents did not get any post in the new Executive.

Babirye replaces Susan Anek who has been the UNF President since 2007.

-Dennis Mpoza: 48 votes
