The latest instalment of the Bombo derby will take place on Friday as UPDF FC host SC Villa.
The two sides have used the same venue for games in the past two season ever since Villa were granted permission to host their games in Bombo by both UPDF and the Uganda Premier League.
In their early season meeting, Ezekiel Katende scored the only goal of the contest as the Army sides took the bragging rights.
Villa come into the game hoping to register successive victories in the league since the start of April.
After a run of nine games minus victory (D5 L4), the Jogoos took care of Kyetume FC 1-0 before the league broke off.
With Gavin Kizito returning from illness and expected to pair Geoffrey Wasswa in defence, the Jogoos will further feel confident going into the game. However, Meddie Kibirige is still battling sickness while Francis Olaki is understood to be out with injury alongside the recovering Benson Muhindo.
UPDF on the other hand are craving for a victory after a run of six games that has seen them lose three and drawn as many.
Their last victory came in a 2-1 home win against relegated Kitara.q
In their final game before the break, the Army side were defeated 2-1 by title chasing URA FC at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje.
UPDF are rocked withq several injury issues. Katende, Davis Kasirye, Brian Kalumba, Ibrahim Wamannah, Seif Batte and Joseph Vuni are all expected to be out along with long-term absentee Derrick Kisembo.
The game starts with UPDF in 10th with 34 points, two behind 9th placed Villa with both sides having played 26 games.
