The Uganda women’s senior national football team, Crested Cranes have entered a residential camp at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru ahead of the 2021 COSAFA Women’s Championship to be hosted by South Africa.
25 of the 32 players summoned reported in camp on Saturday. 5 players from Lady Doves who were in action at the recently concluded CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers for CECAFA region have been allowed to rest up to Monday while Yudaya Nakayenze and Natasha Shiraz will join camp later.
Uganda will once again feature in the Championship as a guest team.
This will be the second time that Uganda plays at the COSAFA Women’s Champions with the maiden appearance coming in 2018 and the Crested Cranes settled for third place.
