Crested Cranes provisional squad reduced to 26 players

The Crested Cranes (Uganda senior women’s national football team) provisional squad that is currently preparing for COSAFA Women’s Championship has been trimmed to 26 players from the initial 32 that were summoned for a residential camp.

The team is still camped at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru with only two players, Yudaya Nakayenze and Shiraz Natasha yet to join the team.

24 players are in camp at the moment with Nakayenze and Natasha set to join the team in South Africa before the start of the tournament.

The final squad will have only 20 players and will be revealed towards departure.

The final squad will depart for South Africa on 27th September 2021. The Crested Cranes are pooled in Group C alongside Zambia, Eswatini and Namibia.
