The 2021 Bankers Sports Gala will wind down this weekend after a successful build up ever since its launch earlier this month. Majority of activities have been done virtually.
The event will be capped by a Virtual Run (World Savings Day Run) on Sunday October 31, 2021 starting at 7.00am. Also, if you’re not healthy you can’t be wealthy,” Masadde told media on Thursday at their offices along Buganda Road in Kampala adding that the run be flagged off by the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development and Governor Bank of Uganda.
UBA’s representative at the press briefing, Wilbrod Owor revealed that a blood donation drive will be conducted on the same day. He however, urged Ugandans to embrace the habit of saving money to cushion them from uncertainties.
BSO team leader Julius Nkuraija said that there will be invited guests attending the event physically though majority of the participants will attend the event virtually.
Nkuraija also revealed that there are applications that enable them track performance and also help intending participants register. By press time, around 3,000 participants had registered.
