Guinness 7s: Pools for fourth circuit out

Uganda Rugby Union (URU) has on Tuesday, 2nd November released pools for the fourth circuit/Central Circuit of the 2021 Guinness 7s Series. The two-day circuit dubbed Rujumba 7s will be played on 6th (Saturday) and 7th (Sunday) November and will be hosted by Black Pirates at Kings Park in Bweyogerere, Kampala.

Hosts Pirates are in Pool C alongside their development side Sailors. Warriors and second tier side Pacers are in the same group.

Table leaders Kobs are in Pool A. Jinja Hippos, Rams and their development side Rams 2 are in the same pool.

Pool B has Heathens, Mongers, Rhinos and Entebbe Jaguars whilst Buffaloes, Impis, Stallions and Eagles are in Pool D.

The teams will play their group games on Saturday and quarter finals to finals will be played on Sunday and proceedings will wind down earlier in the day.

With three out of six circuits of the Guinness 7s played, Kobs lead the table with 66 points, 11 ahead of second placed Black Pirates and 13 ahead of third placed Heathens. Kobs are also unbeaten in all the stages of the circuits of the series, subjecting everyone to a bridesmaids role as they continue to Shine Brightest in each and every outing.

*3rd Leg: 16th October. Soroti. Rangers/ Soroti Stadium (Eastern Circuit). Winners: Kobs
*4th Leg: 6th/7th November. Black pirates/ King’s Park (Central Circuit)
*5th Leg: 13th November. Rams RFC/ Kabale Stadium (Western Circuit)
*6th Leg: 20th/21st November. BSO/Legends (Central Circuit).
